The AIM-54C is modelled and skinned still to be mapped.

As far as systems modelling goes there is no general implementation beyond what is already there possible at the moment. However, Molnibalage has some interesting tweaks for the code for stuff like simulating realistic launch sequence (detach, drop, ignite, climb) as opposed to the missile simply sliding forward off the rail upon launch as it would be without any changes.

By the way the AN/ALQ-110 pod will also be modelled and skinned.

This is the Wings Model. I've made the .dds 4096x4096.

Going to get on the tail stabs next day or two.

Sweeeeeeet! I see some necessary alignment I'll have to do for flap connector #4 and the texture for the main wing and flap will have to be a tad larger to compensate for the curvature of the wing. Gotta love when things move from 2D to 3D :D.

The red line that is visible is the red-paint danger area most forward on the main flap usually hidden below the spoilers. It is visible because the texture at the moment is too narrow for the (very) curvy flap front section.

On the brightside the SLATs, main wing area and spoilers seem to fit rather nicely. Looking forward to the bottom section  8).

Awesome to see progress! Canopy looks epic and the entire proportion seems spot on.

@Stingray,

Ill make the .DDS avail to you so you can make any changes. At 4K its a lot of texture ;)

I could pull the flap undersides back, but for the external model I was thinking adding all of the pistons and control actuators. There are rails view-able that slats move on etc. Tomcat has a lot of mechanical devices opposed to Raptor like electronics.

The undersides are done also but as this is the wings model, you'll never see it. As soon as the fuselage has texture Ill adapt the texture sets to both models. External and Wings for the Tomcat are 2 separate models remember.

Ill check the folder tonight to see if there is anything new you put in there, but ill throw up the .dds I made of your PNG in the folder. I want to map the tail and elevators before updating the model. When I pan around I never see the back or fuselage only the elevators and tail.

Thanks, the canopy is still being fine tuned. Its really a centerpiece of the cockpit, so high poly is the way to go. I still have so much work to do on it. Reflections and more fin tuning, but its come a long way!

Sweet ass! Can't wait for the tails to be mapped and then fixing the nitty gritty details...

Add to that the weathered topside and we got half the bird done :)
